ARIAKE Exclusive Showcase at Ousia
Limited-time showroom | 2025.12.06 - 2026.01.12
-----------------------
ARIAKE, a furniture brand that continues to spread from Saga to the world
The first pop-up event in the Kansai region
We will be holding the "ARIAKE Exclusive Showcase at Ousia."

In Japan, compared to Europe,
While the culture of enjoying furniture as interior decor is not yet fully developed,
The aesthetic sense and craftsmanship of the Japanese people are highly regarded around the world.
Based on Ousia's belief in Japanese aesthetics and technical capabilities,
The process of creating a space is based on Scandinavian values and ways of thinking.
ARIAKE, a Japanese manufacturer, delivers Japanese sensibility to the world.
I think there are many similarities.
ARIAKE and Ousia each hold dear the ideas and worldviews they hold dear.
As partners who can share a high level of
We decided to hold this event.

- Event theme -
Regnatec and Hirata Chair Manufacturing, the makers of ARIAKE.
As I visited each factory and spoke with the people there, I felt that
Passion and love for manufacturing, and compassion for people.
When it comes to brands and products, the focus tends to be on designers and architects, but
There are craftsmen who actually give shape to the products and continue to make them.
ARIAKE is a team of designers and craftsmen.
Through a week-long workshop where we all lived together,
New products will be created.
There, designers and craftsmen exchange opinions together.
Deciding on the design, structure and manufacturing method
There is trust and communication on an equal footing.
That is the very foundation of ARIAKE.
I felt a certain beauty that comes from being a Japanese manufacturer.
At Ousia, we view furniture as a "tool for daily life."
That's why we value information and interpretations from the manufacturing site more than the design itself.
The theme of this event was "Communication"
The craftsmanship and workshop processes
We hope to create an opportunity to draw attention to it.

- About styling -
Styling is based on the theme of Japanese aesthetics.
I believe that Japanese aesthetics are about "space" and appreciating natural objects.
A culture of appreciating nature unique to Japan, such as gardens, bonsai, and suiseki.
And while gently dividing the space,
Creating a gradation of the boundary line with nature.
The spaces between them and the margins are filled with a unique sense of tension.
It feels like a gentle breath that is somehow soothing to the soul.
I think that is an emotional aesthetic sense that is unique to Japan.
In modern life, it is becoming increasingly difficult to feel connected to nature.
That's why we want to incorporate nature and
A space where you can feel the power of nature
Along with artworks by artists with whom Ousia has daily contact
Do the styling.

We are pleased to announce “ARIAKE Exclusive Showcase at Ousia”,
the first ARIAKE pop-up event in the Kansai region by the globally expanding furniture brand from Saga.
Although Japan's culture of appreciating furniture as interior design is still developing compared to Europe, Japanese aesthetics and craftsmanship continue to receive high international recognition.
At Ousia, our approach to spatial design is rooted in Japanese sensibilities and craftsmanship, curated through a Scandinavian perspective. This resonates strongly with ARIAKE's philosophy as a Japanese manufacturer that carries Japanese aesthetics into the global market.
For this event, ARIAKE and Ousia come together as partners who share a deep respect for each other's vision and values.

Event Theme
Visiting ARIAKE's partner—Legnatec and Hirata Chair Manufacturing—reve factories a genuine passion for craftsmanship and heartfelt dedication to the people behind the work.
While brands often spotlight designers and architects, ARIAKE emphasizes the essential presence of artisans who give shape to each idea.
Through ARIAKE's unique workshops—where designers and craftsmen live and work together for a week—new products emerge from an equal and collaborative dialogue. This trust and communication form the essence of ARIAKE's beauty as a Japanese manufacturer.
At Ousia, we see furniture as “tools for living,” valuing the stories, processes, and interpretations from the workshop floor above mere surface design.
This event highlights communication in craftsmanship and the creative process behind ARIAKE's work.

Styling Concept
The styling theme is Japanese aesthetics—the appreciation of “ma” (intentional space) and the quiet beauty of nature.
Japanese gardens, bonsai, and suiseki reflect a culture of observing nature and creating gentle transitions between indoors and outdoors.
In today's world, opportunities to feel nature in daily life are diminishing.
Through Ousia's curation of contemporary artworks by collaborating artists, we aim to create an interior space where the presence and quiet energy of nature can still be felt.
