Stone was once used as a tool or everyday item.

As civilization evolved, various materials and technologies were developed,

A stone that seems somehow removed from everyday life.

Even if it's not a tool like it used to be,

With the desire to be a familiar presence that touches people's hearts,

The motif of the work is

There are alternatives to plastic bottles,

In an age where information is easily accessible, the meaning of paper books is being questioned.

Even if you grow them, you can't eat them, and they will eventually decay.

The still lifes we see casually in our daily lives,

Generally speaking, things that are not necessary for everyone are selected.

It is something that we don't usually pay much attention to.

By expressing it in a different material, marble,

Discovering charms and perspectives that you don't see in your everyday life

It's a work that gives you the feeling of making a new discovery.

Facing the stone material in front of me

Yamamoto's works are made by carefully carving, grinding and polishing.

The heavy, hard marble

It almost gives the illusion of being soft

Smooth form and gentle touch.

The heavy marble has been uniquely created over many years.

The works have a certain charm and friendliness to them.
