Braid sofa
Product Details
Copenhagen-based design studio
The Braid sofa is designed by Norm Architects.
The armrests are made of woven paper cord and lined with thin wood on the back.
It is inspired by classical bamboo architecture and tatami patterns.
The design combines elements of traditional Danish artisan furniture.
The deep, low sofa creates a spacious and relaxed atmosphere.
The beautiful back design makes it perfect for placing against a wall or in the center of a space.
When viewed from the outside, the woven paper cord creates a unique atmosphere, reminiscent of Scandinavian paper cord furniture and Japanese traditional rooms.

The workshops, where designers and craftsmen exchange opinions to decide on the design, structure, and manufacturing method, are based on trust and communication on an equal footing.
The products produced through this special process are beautiful furniture pieces created by "Team ARIAKE" that are packed with Japanese technology and aesthetic sense.
