We are pleased to announce the first exhibition and sales event in the Kansai region featuring the latest collection from ARIAKE, a furniture brand based in Saga, Japan, that continues to share its vision of Japanese design with the world.
Following its debut at this year’s 3daysofdesign and its first major presentation in Japan at the exhibition “YOI” in Shinagawa, Tokyo, ARIAKE’s 2026 collection will now be presented at Ousia in Kyoto.
Through Ousia’s distinctive approach to styling and carefully considered aesthetic perspective, this exhibition offers a rare opportunity to experience the world behind ARIAKE’s latest collection and the exceptional quality of its craftsmanship firsthand.
We invite you to discover the quiet beauty that emerges in the subtle transition between day and night.

宵 | YOI
The early hours of the night, from shortly after sunset until around midnight.
“Yoi” is a fleeting moment when colors deepen, shadows soften, and the warmth of the day still gently lingers.
Inspired by this atmosphere, the exhibition “YOI” presents a series of spaces centered around three dark finishes that evoke the changing landscape of dusk.
Indigo
A deep shade of blue rooted in Japan’s rich textile traditions.
Walnut
A warm, expressive wood finish that reveals the natural beauty and character of the grain.
Sumi
A profound, tranquil black reminiscent of traditional Japanese ink.
Each finish brings its own distinctive depth and character, creating a richly layered expression within the space.
Through Ousia’s carefully considered styling, the shop will be transformed into an atmospheric setting that evokes the delicate boundary between day and night.
We invite you to appreciate the harmony of expressive wood grains, seamlessly crafted joints, and the interplay of light and silhouette.
The exhibition will feature new pieces introduced at this year’s 3daysofdesign, including the Hikari Sideboard and Tsuki Mirror by Staffan Holm, as well as the Yasumi Bed by Gabriel Tan.
These pieces, selected for their connection to the exhibition’s theme, will be presented alongside a diverse collection of furniture.
Additional highlights include stools and low tables by Rui Alves, a dining table by Hallgeir Homstvedt, coffee tables and side tables by Ladies & Gentlemen Studio, as well as ARIAKE’s lounge chairs, bar stools, and counter stools.
The exhibition will also introduce new size variations of the Split Mirror designed by Zoe Mowat.
